Every new listing, sale and price reduction from the Santa Barbara MLS — updated every week
A different kind of market report — every number opens. Most updates hand you a median price and a headline. This one is interactive: open any card below and you get the charts behind that number plus the properties themselves — addresses, list prices, days on market, and what each one sold for against the seller’s original list price.
Santa Barbara is a hyper-local market. National housing figures average thousands of markets together. This coastline is a few hundred sales a year across neighborhoods that behave nothing like one another — Goleta and Montecito can move in opposite directions in the same week, and either can move against the national story. Every number here is measured from this market alone.
Pick a week along the top, then press Open on any of the four cards (or double-click the card itself). Inside, any chart marked ⊕ list has its own property list — click it to swap the list below. You can narrow any list to one area, Montecito only, say. Double-click any small chart to enlarge it. Hover a chart for the figure and a note on why it moved. A bronze outline marks the highest or lowest week of the year. Updated weekly, covering Monday through Sunday.
Heads up on this week
Each card opens with this week’s own figure, then sets it against the average of the three clean weeks before it and against 2026 so far. Weeks with known problems in the source data are skipped rather than patched.
